Der Energieverbrauch im Wellnessbereich ist sehr hoch und auf Grund der Marktentwicklung stark steigend. Im Rahmen des Projekts "NEST - Solare Fitness & Wellness" konnte ein energieautarker Betrieb der Anlage vor allem durch den Einsatz einer CO2 Wärmepumpe erreicht werden. Grundkonzept und Integrationsansatz der Hochtemperatur-Wärmepumpe (bis 120°C, COP ca. 3) stammen aus dem Institut für Energiesysteme der NTB Buchs, umgesetzt wurde in einem breiten Konsortium von EMPA, NTB, HSLU, Scheco, etc. Die Demonstrationsanlage zeigt, dass das System gut für weitere Anwendungen geeignet ist.
The energy consumption in wellness area is very high and due to the market development rising rapidly in Switzerland.
